World Peace Trekking Nepal and TheBlueSpace offer all major rivers in Nepal for rafting trips and expeditions. Encompassing a few hours of gentle white water to a full on 10 day trip of rapids in remote, beautiful scenery. We run trips on the Karnali, Seti, Bheri, Kali Gandaki, Marshyangdii, Trisuli, Bhote Khasi, Sun Khosi, Arun, Tamba Khosi, and Tamur. All blue space Nepal rafting guides are government licensed and trained an swift water rescue and first aid. A huge multitude of smaller rivers are suitable for kayaking. Prices are on a per day basis and available on request. Sounds obvious but please note that we can of course combine rafting with trekking trips. Individual rivers: Bheri River A remote Far Western River, the Bheri originates in Dolpo. With beautiful scenery, unspoilt villages and clean white beaches this river is perfect for an unhurried relaxed trip. The Bheri ends in Bardia National Park, home to 250 species of birds and over 30 mammals including rhino, wild elephant, tiger and swamp deer. Scenery includes pine forests, mountain peaks and gorges. * MAXIMUM GRADES: * Jan - May grade 2+ * Jun - Aug not possible * Sep - Oct grade 4+ * Nov - Dec grade 2+ Karnali River The upper Karnali, like the Tamur, has some of the finest white water in Nepal. This river is in the far west of Nepal; the most remote area. The Karnali rises in Tibet, near the holy Mount Kailash. Its total length is approximately 500 Km. The scenery includes pine forests, mountain peaks and passes through spectacular gorges. * MAXIMUM GRADES: * Jan - May grade 4+ * Jun - Aug not possible * Sep - Oct grade 5 * Nov - Dec grade 4+ Sun Khosi River The Sun Koshi (river of gold) is one of the three main tributaries of the Sapt Koshi system which runs from southern Nepal to India. Our trips traverse 170 km through the middle hills of Nepal on one of the most beautiful and exciting rivers in the world. * MAXIMUM GRADES: * Jan - May grade 3 * Jun - Aug not possible * Sep - Oct grade 4+ * Nov - Dec grade 3+ Trisuli River Located in central Nepal, this is the country's most popular rafting and kayaking river. Legend says that in the Himalaya at Gosainkunda, in the Langtang region, the god Shiva drove his trident into the ground and created three springs. These springs join to start the Trisuli river. The water flow on the main rafting section tends to be half of that on the Grand Canyon. The wildlife is varied and many birds can be observed, from the tiny kingfisher to mighty kites and vultures. Any Trisuli trip is ideal for beginners to find their "rafting legs". MAXIMUM GRADES: * Jan - May grade 2+ * Jun - Aug grade 4+ * Sep - Oct grade 3 * Nov - Dec grade 2 Tamur River The Tamur, drains the snows of Kanchenjunga, third highest peak on earth, and is one of the best rafting rivers in the world. The river flows through a magificent and unspoilt valley and the 3 day trek to the start is one of the most scenic in Nepal. Recommended for those in search of high quality white water. The 3 days of trekking is followed by 7 days rafting in remote, world class water. MAXIMUM GRADES: * Jan - May grade 4 * Jun - Aug not possible * Sep - Oct grade 5 * Nov - Dec grade 4 Seti Karnali River A remote river in the far west, the Seti runs into the Karnali. A little-travelled river the Seti rises in the highest mountains of western Nepal. There is beautiful scenery and abundant wildlife to be enjoyed on this trip and the river itself is noted for its blue-green water and white, sandy beaches. MAXIMUM GRADES: * Jan - May grade 3 * Jun - Aug not possible * Sep - Oct grade 4+ * Nov - Dec grade 3 Kali Gandaki One of the ancient trade routes to Tibet, the Kali Gandaki rises in upper Mustang. A beautiful, unspoilt river with excellent white water Upper Kali Gandaki carries you through over 40 rapids in one of the deepest gorges in the world. With lush green vegetation and an abundance of wildlife this trip is a scenic, thrilling roller -coaster ride from start to finish and comes highly recommended for those seeking true excitement. In contrast Lower Kali Gandaki is a relaxing, visual extravaganza starting at Ramdi and flowing east into an open valley. There are no roads and few other river-runners as it continues down through a jungle corridor, home to more than 250 species of wild birds. Fresh water dolphins and mugger and gharial crocodiles can be seen. MAXIMUM GRADES: * Jan - May grade 4 * Jun - Aug not possible * Sep - Oct grade 5 * Nov - Dec grade 4 Marshyangdi River A fantastic rafting river with stunning Himalayan backdrops, descending from Himalayan giants of the famous Annapurna massif and isolated Mustang peaks, it passes along the Annapurna trekking route, beautiful villages, and temples on the river bank with uninterrupted class 4 to 5 rapids. If it's adventure you seek, you'll find it on this trip with one day of easy trekking and 4 days of intense white water rafting. This trip begins with 3 day trek through remote villages of Arun valley. Camping out in lush forests with views of the snow-capped Himalayan peaks. On the river, the powerful current drives your raft through 4 days of great white water action; at night you can relax on fantastic beaches in dramatic valleys of the Arun. Bhote Khosi A one or two day rafting rush as the river roaes out of Tibet and on toward the Sun Khosi. Trips leave every other day in season and the white water is grade between 3 and 5. For information on Rafting grades - See our Grades Page
