Trekking around the central Himalaya in respect
of its cultural diversity and topographical variations is
more exciting and interesting, exploring different culture
of various ethnic groups, the lower ridges are inhabited by
Tamangs and Sherpas whereas the higher region by Tibetans.
This trek also provides a chance to observe one of a holy
site of Hindu people the sacred Gosainkunda Lake. This trek
offers a fascinating views of Langtang Range, Ganesh Himal,
Dorje Lakpa, Naya Kanga, Lang Shisha.
Day 01: Drive Kathmandu-Dhunche.
After breakfast, we set for the drive to Dhunche 132 km. The
drive is long for about 6-7 hours. The drive passes through
the forests, deep gorges & beautiful landscapes.
Day 02: Dhunche-Syabru.
After breakfast, we start for the first day walk during trek.
From Dhunche we walk along the street for an hour & reach
to Barkhu. From Barkhu the trail slightly climbs up &
becomes flat & passes through the forest reaches to Syabru.
The entire walk from Barkhu to Syabru takes about 4 hrs. During
this walk one can have the magnificent views of Mt. Ganesh
Himal, Manaslu & Mt. Kerung.
Day 03: Syabru-Sing Gompa.
Starting from Syabru the trail climbs steeply for about 2
& half hours through forest. Then the trail still continues
straightly & reaches after one & half hour to Sing
Gompa.
Day 04: Reserve day.
Day 05: Sing Gompa-Gosainkunda.
The trail to Lauri Binayak is steep & continues for three
hours. Then the trail becomes much narrow & misty as well
as change in vegetation too as the green vegetation becomes
much deserted & rocky. From lauri Binayak takes about
3 hours to reach to Gosainkunda. Gosainkunda, one of the most
famous religious place of pilgrimage for Hindu people of Nepal.
Day 06: Gosainkunda-Ghopte.
After the lovely night halt at Gosainkunda, we set for another
day's walk. Today the walk goes through a steep trail for
2 & half an hour & crosses a pass at 4500m and the
trail is too rocky. After the pass the trail becomes to descend
& the slope continues for about 3 hours & reaches
to Ghopte for the night halt.
Day 07: Ghopte-Kutumsang.
Today the trail continues through the forest of pine &
juniper about 2 hour's slope up to Thadepati. Then the trail
gradually descends through the forest for about 5 hours to
Kutumsang.
Day 08: Kutumsang-Pati Bhanjyang.
The trail passes through the villages of Tamangs & forests
& after 3 hours reaches to Tipling. Then the trail gets
lots of ascend & descend as well as flatten through the
terraced fields & reaches to Pati Bhanjyang after 2 hours.
Day 09: Pati Bhanjyang-Sundarijal.
Today the trail ascends steeply for an hour to Chisapani &
again the trail continues steeply for two hours passes through
the villages & after an hours descent the trail reaches
to Sundarijal. From Sundariljal, we drive for about one &
half an hour to Kathmandu.
