This trek leads to a bit higher altitude towards (3000m) in Annapurna Ranges. This trek is especially suitable for the beginners and elderly people but those who wish to have an adventurous trek and a closer views of mighty Himalayan Ranges. As well as this trek offers a fantastic views of Kaligandaki Valley (the deepest gorge in the world) on its backdrop while passing through it. During the trek, the route passes through Gurungs and Magars (ethnic tribes.)

Day 01: Trek Pokhara-Dhampus (1650 m)
After breakfast, we drive 45 min to Suikhet Phedi (1130m), where our trekking crews will be waiting for us. Then we start the trek ascending the trial, from here the path diverts and climbs the ridge above the Yangri Stream and reaches the village of Astam at the top of the ridge. Follow the ridge west through the Henjakot & reach to Dhampus, from here one can have a closer view of Mt. Machhapuchre & Annapurna South.


Day 02: Dhampus-Landrung (1646 m)
After breakfast, we start the trek & ascend up for an hour through the dense forest of Rhododendron & Orchid to a Pass at 2160 m then descend gradually for another an hour to reach Ghatte Khola for lunch. Then continue the slope downhill to Landrung (1646m), a large Gurung Village situated above the Modi River for the night Camp.

Day 03: Landrung-Ghandrung (1951 m)
After breakfast, proceed the walk about one hour down to Modi river then ascend the steep trail for two hours through the terraced fields to reach Ghandrung (1951 m), this picturesque town of slate-roofed houses surrounded by terraced fields is a pleasant place for the night halt. This is a huge Gurung village, with the good humour and friendliness. The lodges in this village are well known for the great Gurung hospitality. The headquarters of Annapurna Conversation Center is also situated in this village who looks after the management of the lodges. This village is beautifully set in front the peaks of Annapurna South & Himchuli (6441 m).

Day 04: Ghandrung - Ghorepani. (2855 m)
Today the trail is a bit longer as the walk takes about 8 hours to reach to Ghorepani. As usual, start the trek after the breakfast & ascend gradually for about four hours through the forest of different species of trees & rhododendrons & reach Tadapani where many lodges are situated. After Tadapani continue the walk for an hour to BhainseKharka. Then ascend the steep hill through the different species of Rhododendron Forest & few lodges for about 2 hours to Deurali. Then descend gradually the slope for an hour & reach to Ghorepani surrounded by Rhododendron Forest & this village is inhabited by the Magars (ethnic group).

Day 05: Ghorepani.
Wake up early in the morning 0500 hrs for the excursion to Poon Hill (3193 m), you can hear the sounds of trekker preparing for the pre-dawn assault on Poon Hill. Take great care on the path up the hill, as it can be slippery in places. It takes about an hour to climb the top. As the sun rises, the views are literally breathtaking, a wide Himalayan panorama stretching from Dhaulagiri 8167m (the world's seventh highest peak) to Manaslu 8156m (the world's eighth highest peak) in the east, with the mighty Annapurna range in between them. Then come back to Ghorepani, have breakfast & rest of the day at leisure or you can visit around the village of Ghorepani.

Day 06:Ghorepani - Birethanti (1050 m)
Today the trail is whole descending through the stone staircase. After breakfast, descend down about 2 hours to Banthanti, where few tourist lodges are situated. Then again descend down through the stone steps to Ulleri for about one hour, this pretty slate roofed village is largely comprised of Magar People. They are Tibeto-Burman in origin & very skilled craftsmen in stone & wood. From here you can have the good views of Annapurna South and Himchuli as well as the Bhurungdi Valley below. The path again continues through the stone steps for one & half-hour crossing the Bhurungdi River reaches Hille. Then after 2 hours walk through the beautiful villages & terraced field, cross the confluence of Modi Khola & Bhurungdi Khola.

Day 7: Birethanti-Pokhara.
It takes about 1-hour walk to reach to the road & then drive to Pokhara for about two hours. Upon arrival check in to the hotel & rest of the day free at leisure.
