I loved my time at New Pokhara Lodge, not least because it was so safe and comfortable (especially as I'm a single traveller)
but the service and friendliness were exceptional.
I particularly liked the fact the room had a bath. The Lodge is in a really great part of town- tucked away, yet only minutes from the main area. The garden is heavenly, as is the view from the rooftop.

Dear Mahendra,
I just wanted to thank you for the hospitality that you and your
associate, whose name I forget, provided. Many people are
interested in Nepal and when I show my photos to them they will
be even more interested, if anyone decides on a trip, I
promise I will do everything I can to get them to stay at

New Pokhara
Lodge is a wonderful place to stay. We had an extended stay here
and it was by far the most pleasant hotel in Nepal. The staff is
great and the rooms comfortable and clean. We highly recommend
New Pokhara Lodge. Thanks for everything !

We had
a wonderful visit to Nepal. It was made much easier and
enjoyable by the New Pokhara Lodge. They were extremely helpful
and gave very valuable advice. The Lodge is excellent and a
sanctuary after trekking in Annapurna. Thank you and hope to see
you again. Paul and Kathryn Tomlinson ( Newbury England )

Over
20 month ago I left Scotland on a round the world bicycle tour.
Since the start I have stayed in well over 500 different hotels,
guest houses, hostels and other establishments (and also one bus
shelter in England). Some of them have been extremely pleasant
places to stay. But I put New Pokhara Lodge at the top of my
list. This is an excellent hotel. Both owners and staff are
extremely pleasant and helpful. The location is ideal, being
very close to lake and yet in its own secluded garden. The rooms
are most comfortable and spotlessly clean. When I arrived I
intended to stay two or three nights. In the end I have stayed
four weeks. William J. Donaldson

It is the first time we are in Pokhara. And
we fall in love with it. New Pokhara lodge is the best hotel
we had in Nepal. We nearly feel as we are in Germany at home.
The staffs are kind and helpful. We don't like to leave but
holiday is over now. Thank you very much for everything. We
will come back next year.

We felt we were in paradise! Thought we would stay 2 nights,
but is was so pleasant; we stayed 7 nights instead. Beautiful
garden, so peaceful. Thank you very much & see you again.

I wish we could have found New Pokhara Lodge & stayed here first
in Pokhara. This is small, comfortable, quiet & nice place.
The staffs are very friendly. The another good thing was that
we felt no pressure from the staff to do anything, or to go
through them for anything like trekking & sightseeing. We will
recommend our friends. Thank you for everything.

Great lodge, hot water, good service, smiling faces so nice
to be away from the main road in the peace & quiet. Many thanks. Caroline

We are having a wonderful stay in Pokhara and in this lodge.
The facilities and garden are very well maintained and the staffs
are courteous and helpful. It really is a tranquil oasis.

A hugely enjoyable stay, The guesthouse is clean, well maintained
and peaceful. The price is reasonable with hot showers and Television

I just wanted to thank you for all your help
and hospitality whilst we were in Pokhara. New Pokhara Lodge
is certainly one of the nicest places I have stayed in during
my many trips to Nepal and I very much hope to be able to come
back again in the spring.

It's now seven years ago since I first brought
a trekking groups here to the New Pokhara Lodge, and I have
been bringing groups ever since. I must say that it's probably
one of the best hotels in its category in the whole region.
The staff and the two brothers Jagan and Mahendra are always
helpful, service is great and location is unbeatable. From over
hundred people that I have brought here. I have never heard
anything but praise for the place. Enjoy your stay. Mike Tandy (Group leader UK)
This is the third time we came here. We feel
very welcome and it was very nice to stay at such a quite place.
Thank you very much!!! .Caroline & Niels (Holland)
A good base for Medical elective students
working at Manipal Teaching Hospital Pokhara and The Western
Regional Hospital Pokhara . On the main bus routes whilst also
being in Lakeside Pokhara. Many thanks for your kindness +
hospitality over the past 6 weeks. New Pokhara Lodge has been a
wonderful, relaxing place to stay. Thanks again Neil and
Claire July 2007.
I was so happy here that although I had
planned to stay a fortnight I remained for nearly a month. It is
good to know that the water and food are safe, with no fear of
illness. I enjoyed the peace of the attractive garden and looked
with wonder as from the roof I watched dawn light up the snows
of the Annapurna Range and Machhapuchere. The staff are always
friendly and attentive to our every need and the rooms
comfortable and clean. Thank you for a wonderful time. I will
recommend New Pokhara Lodge to my friends. Peta Craven ( 77

My husband and I
stayed here over christmas. Set back up a quiet road, 2 minutes
walk from the lake this family run lodge was fantastic. Good
rooms some with mountain views, roof terrace for sunbathing and
mountain views, pretty garden for a cold beer and the nicest
most helpful owner and staff in Nepal!! Everything can be
organised from the lodge at good rates. Peaceful, clean and
really great value for money. .dogonastring

My wife and I
began planning our 6 week vacation in India and Nepal several
months before we left at the end of October, 2008. One place we
knew that we would want to spend some time was in Pokhara, but
since I hadn't been there for 40 years I had no idea what to
expect or where to stay.
The New Pokhara Lodge's website made everything easy for me! I
stumbled on it early in my internet search and kept coming back
to it. The site offered great pictures and information so
booking a room there made sense to me. And I'm glad it did.
The Lodge is everything it advertises itself to be. The rooms
are comfortable and clean and the views of Machapuchre are
spectacular! The garden where we ate a delicious breakfast every
morning is great too. Look for the poinsettias and sacred basil
(tulsi)!
The best part of The New Pokhara Lodge, though, are the people.
Mahendra, the owner, his wife and daughters and Humraj all went
out of their way to make us comfortable and welcome. They made
us feel like we were a part of their family. They gave us great
advice and helped us brush up on our Nepali too!
During our next trip to Nepal we plan to spend more time in
Pokhara and all of it with Mahendra, his family and Humraj.
Staying there was the best part of our adventure! Don &

I went
to Pokhara with my 2 kids (6 and 8 year olds) and really loved
this hotel. First and most of all, it is a family-run hotel
and they were all very helpful and friendly but not in an
obtrusive kind of a way. Second, the hotel was very clean and
comfortable and we especially liked relaxing in the courtyard.
Third, it has a good location near everything but a little off
the main road to be quiet and peaceful. Finally, considering
the price, cleanliness, location, view and friendly atmosphere
I am very happy that we were able to find the New Pokhara
Lodge and would really recommend it as a great place to stay.
