During Nov- Dec full moon the colorful Mani Rimdu festival is held here with much singing and dancing.
Day 6 Whole day at Pheriche and look around the large Sherpa settlement of Pheriche and visit the famous Buddhist Gompa. Overnight at Tengpoche.
Day 7 Tengpoche to Khumjung. Stay at Khumjung. ( 5 hours walk)
Day 8 From Khumjung to Lukla.
Day 9 Lukla to Kathmandu by air.
Day 10 Kathmandu, whole day at leisure.

Day 01-Kathmandu (1300) - Zhangmu (2,500): 123 km. / Nyalam (3,700m): + 34 km. Early morning scenic drive to KODARI (Nepal-Tibet Border) though the beautiful Nepalese countryside and start a short walk (approx. 1& half hour) uphill with porter to ZHANGMU Immigration, overnight at hotel.
Day 02- Zhangmu - Xegar (4,350m): 244 KM. Day drive uphill to the highest plateau of the world with typical view of the Tibetan landscape leaving you as if you are standing on the roof of the world. Crossing over the NYALAM PASS (3,899m) and Lalung La (5,050m), weather permitting, offers a breathtaking panorama of beautiful Himalayan ranges including Mt. Everest (8.848m) but dwarfed by the vastness of the Tibetan plateau. Overnight at hotel.
Day 03- Xegar - Xigates (3,900m): 244 KM. Continue the scenic drive crossing over Gyatchu La (5,220m), the highest pass en-rout to LHASA via LHATSE from where a road to MT.KAILASH forks to the west. Overnight at hotel
Day 04- Xigatse - Gyantse (3,950m): 90 KM. Morning sightseeing to the Panchen Lama Tashilhumpu Monastery. Drive to Gyantse & visit to the Kumbhum Stupa & Phalkor Monastery. Overnight at hotel.
Day 05- Gyantse - Lhasa (3,560m): 261 KM. A full day's picturesque drive crossing over KAROLA (5.010m), Kamba La (4,794m), colorful Yamadrok Lake and the Tibetan lifeline river Brahma Putra (Yarlung Tsangpo).
