As you all know that NST is a social, non profit organization
founded in 1998 at DFW metropolis to serve the people of Nepali
origin and their friends. Nepalese community in DFW is very
much diverse and this diversity is represented in the NST.
The optimum interest of NST is to develop common consensus
among us, develop mutual relation, preserve our cultural identity
as well as to bridge the generations and maintains ties with
Nepal. Preserving our Nepali identity, cultures, religions,
languages and traditions, ANA Convention provides a meeting
place for Nepalese and Friends of Nepal to learn and exchange
ideas and to volunteer to serve humanity.
This
year, the ANA Convention will be one of the largest ever,
and will be a truly national convention. We expect to draw
over 3,000 members of the Nepalese community and friends from
all over North America, as well as many other parts of the
world. The three-day event is filled with stimulating, intellectual,
as well as entertaining programs to suit the palate of all,
young and old. As always, the convention will provide a platform
for a positive experience of companionship, enriching the
lives of the members at large, making of new friends and renewing
old relations.
The theme of this year’s convention is Peace
and Unity for Prosperity. We are planning for a magnificent
as well as an entertaining opening ceremony. We have fascinating
and fun things like the art show, poetry reading, sports,
kids’ camp, school reunions, informative and stimulating
forums, cultural programs, Concerts, D.J. dancing, Banquet
and much more. We are committed to preserving the tradition
of excellence in this key yearly event along with new innovative
ideas for the ANA 2005 Convention here in Dallas.
I would also like to take this opportunity to express my sincere
appreciation to all NST members, ANA members, the coordinators,
volunteers, sponsors, and all participants for their great
job to make this a grand convention. I hope all the participants
will enjoy this convention. I am greatly looking forward to
meeting you in person. If there is anything we can do to make
your visit more enjoyable, please feel free to let us know.
Thank you for your continuous support and love.
